Sunshine City - I AM EKITI
I am most impressed with the tremendous positive changes Ekiti State have undergone under the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi and I am proud to say I AM EKITI!!!
Change as we know is not easily achievable especially in societies that have been negatively influenced for a long time, but Governor Fayemi has shown that he has what it takes to make Ekiti State the true Sunshine City.
I believe in the 8-point agenda for development set forth by Dr. Fayemi, I believe in your vision for the state, I believe Sunshine city can become the Silicon valley of Nigeria and I believe in your Government. I AM EKITI!!!
Thank you JKF

Important Two
Let me take you on a journey with a different view or perspective on "TWO" as I use you and me as example with series of pondering questions.
- Why not have one Eye? but we have Two.
- Why not have one Ear, but we have Two.
- Why not have one Nostril, but we have Two.
- Why not have one Lip, but we have Two.
- Why not have one Arm, but we have Two.
- Why not have one Kidney, but we have Two.
- Why not have one Jaw, but we have Two.
By God's design we are to function properly and smoothly with"Two" of the listed above but if by any reason we lose one; we have a "Second Chance" i.e. (second Chance=Two) to be alive with one, it may be challenging but we can survive.
Imagine someone loosing his or her heart, that person is dead (no second chance, no second heart to kick in). Imagine if the brain stopped (no second chance, the body dies.) "Two" is very important.
Follow me closely on this topic; The heart is located inside the body and the body is just one, also the brain is located inside the skull on the head and the head is just one for everyone. The head and body makes an individual, so can we then imply that there is no second chance for each individual? I do not think we can because of what "Two" has to play in the scenario.
In creation, man was created and everything was good but our Creator thought of "Two" He created a second, a helpmate, a companion, a partner, a soul mate and everything was perfect. The union of these "Two" since then till date has continue to drive procreation resulting in multiplication of our selves. Remember - He who finds a wife (a second) finds a good thing. One is often times lonely and more than two may result in rowdiness creating more problems.
It is safe to say that when "Two" unites and procreates or even without procreation and one body dies, the second (Two) continues the journey and lives on with the legacy of both, the second takes care of what they both initially started.
It is key to understand and appreciate a second chance and the design for "Two". We need not take any "Two" things for granted, do not question why you need "Two" but rather embrace it, appreciate and give to someone with one to make "Two" if you have more than "Two" no matter what it may be.

The Momentum Idea!!! I AM EKITI
I AM EKITI, There is a Momentum going on right now in Ekiti, the State Government is highly transparent, the introduction of social media technology in disseminating important information or news to the world, and above all the care for all citizens of Ekiti State.
It is not enough to have a momentum going on in the land, but the ability to sustain and maintain the momentum going for Ekiti State is very crucial. " The Momentum Idea"
What do I mean by " The Momentum Idea"- The world we live in today is becoming a smaller global village, Nigerians across the globe are well informed with what is going in Nigeria, citizens of Ekiti State around the world are reading about the State, they see what the Sate is going through at present, and they are excited for Ekiti State, proud to say I AM EKITI and I am most impressed with Governor Fayemi's Policies & style of Leadership.
I urge the Government to continue with the Momentum and remain focused on positive changes. Also to everyone across the globe to join in this movement of positive changes - Think of something you can do for the State and not what the State can do for you. Let us all start making our dreams a reality for EKITI; It starts with me , It starts with you.
I AM EKITI.

UNFRIENDLY FRIEND
Watch out my fellows out there! Not everyone that calls them-self your friend are truly your friend. They may smile at you, walk with you, dine with you, hang out with you or even share same household with you.
It is sometimes very difficult to know who your unfriendly friends are; but an important key to avoid and eliminate any unfriendly friends around you is to first know who you are, then identify what you want in life and how to get there. Do not put your trust in people but only in God.
It is very important to not share all your ideas and plans with friends. Guide and protect your intellectual property, never tell folks or friends what they want to know about you but rather tell them what you want them to know, that way you are in control of your contents.
Also be very careful and cautious sharing your weaknesses as well as your strong attributes with friends because the unfriendly friend will come back and use that to hurt you.
An unfriendly friend may even be a family member, those are the most difficult ones to detect. They are family and so they know you too well; they smile at your, they pretend, and they tell you they love you. Fellows be very vigilant because they will break you before you realize who they truly are.
Examine your friends, move or walk away from those pessimist, walk away from those that do not add value to you, walk away from those that do not believe in dynamism, walk away from those you cannot learn from and those that feel you have nothing to bring to the table, and finally walk away from those that do not understand the concept of time and season.

DREAM BIG
Dreaming big is a sign of you going to a higher place. Big Dreams can be scary at times, Sometimes it can seem too big to even think it is unrealistic. The bigger your Dreams; Your chances of you going to a bigger and better place is relatively high.
When you Dream Big, it shows that you have both creative mind and creative Ideas; These Big Dreams can eventually give birth to ground breaking achievements.
Never give up on those Big Dreams, pursue your Dreams, talk about them, be proud to share what you are going to do about your Dreams, walk towards how you are going to make your Big Dreams a reality, document your Dreams and steps to making it happen.
Do not be afraid that your Dream may be too big to achieve in your life-time; That is an indication that your Dream will live on even after you've gone out of this world. All you need to do is start, begin making your Dreams come to reality, go to work on your Dreams, work hard, don't quit, press on, and know that what you can not complete in your life-time will be taken over by the next generation after you. They will continue making the Big Dreams you dreamt a reality even after you have passed.
Remember, you may not be able to contain some Big Dreams, you need solid support to share it with. Support that will agree with your vision and help you make your Dreams come true.

I AM EKITI
THE SHINNING STATE!!!!
The Sunshine State is definitely shinning I must say, with all the great and new Initiatives introduced by the vibrant Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
In just a few years of Governor Fayemi becoming the Governor of Ekiti State, we have seen tremendous improvements in the State. His programs and plans for Ekiti State is an all inclusive one; In other words his Initiatives considers the Young and Old, Men & Women,Corporations & Start-ups.
I AM EKITI - This is a State to be proud of, a State that is giving birth to new Ideas, Ideas to help change the State to a great land, Ideas that is helping citizens and improving lives.
Governor Fayemi of Ekiti is one of few Governors in Nigeria that is performing above expectations and delivering what would take the State to the next level. With his exposure to the western world, he has been able to introduce different Initiatives that has helped and still helping the State; A few of these are the Social Security retirement funds system to help the retired and the elderly similar to what is practiced in the United State America, Provision of good roads and Social Amenities, Freedom of speech and the introduction of Information Technology in his style of governing i.e recognizing the importance of social media and using that platform to disseminate information and news as well and many more. These Initiatives are definitely helping Ekiti State a great deal and ultimately changing lives for the best.
I AM EKITI - This Governor is running a transparent government and I am most proud that my origin comes Ekiti State. Thank you so much for being a transparent Governor Dr. Fayemi, I hope other Governors are watching and willing to emulate your transparency style and values in leadership.

The Genius in you! (The G in you)
(The G in you) - We all have something special in all of us that makes us unique and different from one and another but one common thing we all have in general is the MIND. The mind is very important and in my opinion a creative mind is one of the greatest asset anyone can have. It baffles me and saddens my heart when I hear someone says to them self I am dumb or to someone else, you are dumb because we already have an asset deposited in us, the mind. The mind needs to be fed and exercised to be active in order for it to be creative. All you need is a creative mind and you will see how the genius in you takes over and transforms all you touch into gold, assets, record breaking achievements and above all fulfillment.
There is a G in us all and we just need to maintain a creative mind, some creativity might sound and look dumb to others at the initial and early stage, but remember the story of www.Facebook.com , apple.com , www.Microsoft.com, twitter.com and many more on how their creativity was mocked and criticized by others. Today their creativity has revolutionized the world and they are called Genius by those who thought they were dumb back then.
Young minds - engage your mind positively, express your creativity and ideas and let the G in you blossoms. Apple Genius Bar.

Fuel for Motivation
Entrepreneurship normally requires individuals to have high levels of motivation when planning and starting a new business.
There is no simple formula for motivation — you must keep a open viewpoint on human nature. There is a complex array of forces steering the direction of each person and these forces cannot always be seen or studied. In addition, if the same forces are steering two different people, each one may act differently. Knowing that each person may react to different needs will guide your decisions and actions in certain situations. While many types of motivation exist in the business environment, internal motivation may be thought of as an individual’s personal “drive.” This informal description describes an individual’s personal character traits for achieving goals and creating a successful business.
A person's motivation is a combination of desire and energy directed at achieving a goal. It is the cause of action. Influencing someone's motivation means getting them to want to do what you know must be done. (U.S. Army Handbook, 1973).
People can be motivated by such forces as beliefs, values, interests, fear, and worthy causes. Some of these forces are internal, such as needs, interests, and beliefs. Others are external, such as danger, the environment, or pressure from a loved one. An individual’s personal drive is often the starting point of motivation. This drive helps individuals focus on specific goals they wish to achieve or how they wish to improve their life.

PROUD TO BE AN EKITIARIAN
Though I grew up in Lagos state, a western part of Nigeria in Africa and currently I reside in the states - I have always called myself an Ekiti boy. Sure You can !!!!
Give it a try, don't let one of the biggest obstacles to personal growth and development be you!
No matter what it is in life you want to do, never give in before you even try, stay determined, and keep your attitude positive. Your personal growth will blossom, and a new, truly marvelous, confident you will emerge.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle is yourself. The problem you have is within yourself. Do you allow your thoughts to limit what you can do by saying you can't? Guess what? You are right, you can't, simply because this is what you believe.
How do you think it would be if you were to decide not to say you can't do something, but say "I am going to do this" or, "I can do this." Wow, think about it, just to voice those words give a feeling of power and confidence don't you agree? The next time you hear yourself, saying "I can't" why not say "I am going to give this a go" and put this thought into action and do it.
Another obstacle is your attitude. Your attitude plays a vital part in what makes you who you are. Have you conditioned your attitude by thinking that you are no good at things, so don't attempt to do anything? Have you tried something once and failed, and now base everything else on this outcome. You limit your personal growth by not attempting to do what it is you would like to achieve.
I am sure you can see that by doing this you have put up obstacles to personal growth and development.
What if you do fail, what does it matter, you can still try again.
How can you help yourself?
The first thing you should do is try and change the attitude you have of yourself. Your attitude plays a vital part in how you will be.
Sure you can!!! be who you want to be, achieve what you want to achieve and overcome that obstacle.

MENTORING - Speaker < Pastor Sam Adeyemi > RCCG Leadership Convention in Baltimore 2012
I was privileged to be at the conference and to listen to this powerful message from one of the best motivational speaker in the world held in Baltimore Maryland USA. I cannot but share this with you all from Pastor Sam Adeyemi - In his words:
One question I always ask is "WHY" am I here? God must have brought me for a purpose.
In the beginning God created one man and one woman, He could have created 10 billion people at once but:
He created in arrangement for us to bring forth and to give birth, Why? To train, to nurture, to protect, to guide and to mentor those generations to come after us (Next generation).
I have learned to pray not only for prosperity but also for posterity.
If your dream is so big, it means that some of it have to be accomplish by the next generation.
Leadership brings Influence an example of this is Pastor E.A Adeboye, he has leadership and vision that influences people to challenge themselves to go far and above.
BENEFITS TO MENTORING
5. Helps us to avoid costly mistakes and saving us time & money.
6. Creates for us paradigm shift.
7. It enhances self-esteem
8. It deepens loyalty
9. It multiplies success potentials in both mentors and the mentees
God created man, man created money, but now man is now using the availability or non-availability of money to serve God or do things of God or what God can do.
Note:
In heaven they think resources not money.
Money is only a means of exchange of value; When you add value to peoples lives, value will come back to you (Luke 22:35). Do not raise money; Raise people.
PRINCIPLES OF MENTORING
God works and anoints you in your weakness.
ADVICE FOR MENTORS-
One question I always ask is "WHY" am I here? God must have brought me for a purpose.
In the beginning God created one man and one woman, He could have created 10 billion people at once but:
He created in arrangement for us to bring forth and to give birth, Why? To train, to nurture, to protect, to guide and to mentor those generations to come after us (Next generation).

Leadership brings Influence an example of this is Pastor E.A Adeboye, he has leadership and vision that influences people to challenge themselves to go far and above.
BENEFITS TO MENTORING
- Mentoring brings credibility
- Sometimes being seen with someone or gaining the approval of someone who has done well is important
- It gives us the knowledge of proven results. When:
- Submit to the counsel of God's minister
- Ask those who has done it before
- Become that, the people wants to listen to
- Order makes for increase
- Not what you know that counts but what you do with what you know is what matters
5. Helps us to avoid costly mistakes and saving us time & money.
6. Creates for us paradigm shift.
7. It enhances self-esteem
8. It deepens loyalty
9. It multiplies success potentials in both mentors and the mentees

In heaven they think resources not money.
Money is only a means of exchange of value; When you add value to peoples lives, value will come back to you (Luke 22:35). Do not raise money; Raise people.
PRINCIPLES OF MENTORING
- You need to create a positive environment
- You need character and integrity
- Openness
- Independence: Mentors can only guide, you cannot own the life of a protege or mentee
- Cannot be autocratic
- Work towards making the protege independent
- Flexibility
- Mentors must not insist on the way that protege must do it the way they did it.
- Both must remain focus
- You get revelations.
God works and anoints you in your weakness.
ADVICE FOR MENTORS-
- Mentors must be deliberate
- Mentors must be prepared
- God thinks transgenerational
- Focus on younger generation
- Give people paradigm shift
- Do not let people or protege struggle for survival
- Inspire the youths
- Invest time in your protege
- Share with them your experience
- Invest your wisdom and knowledge in them
- Love and care for them genuinely
- Mentors keep secrets and confidences
- Mentee should have clearly defined goals and visions
- Protege's should pursue the Mentors
- Maximize the time spent together, prepare questions to ask the Mentors
- Do more listening
- Follow the counsel of your Mentor
- Express appreciation to your Mentor
- Seek for the Grace on the Mentor for Grace is transferable.

Youth Entrepreneurship Opportunity in Nigeria
Sometimes we often overlook the importance of entrepreneurship and we let it slip through the crack. Indeed, Youth Unemployment has remained stubbornly high and I think it is time to take a closer look seriously on this issue in attempt to help fix Young Nigeria.
We need to partner with organizations to promote entrepreneurial education, increase access to capital for start ups, and encourage Youth Entrepreneurship -- all in hopes of addressing youth unemployment.
I think we need to have a re-orientation of our youths from the same old idea 'work hard, go to school, get good grades, get a good job' mindset," to a entrepreneurial model - Being your own boss, creating businesses and eventually creating job opportunities for others.
Educating Nigeria's younger generations about entrepreneurship certainly sounds nice, but it's not the only thing (or even the primary issue) keeping young Nigerians from going out on their own. Scarce access to start up capital causes a chicken and egg dilemma. We need to push for legislation's by our Government to encourage, support and promote small business owners.
It is time for us to Inspire and Motivate our Youths to start taking advantage of all the opportunities available around them. Africa is an emerging market meaning that Nigeria is one of the countries with business growth opportunities - Young Nigerians need not be afraid and intimidated by young start-up Entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg (FACE BOOK), Biz Stone and Evan Williams (TWITTER) for they all started with a business idea and an ability to dream big.
I urge Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs like myself to all come together with one goal of promoting Youth Entrepreneurship Opportunity in Nigeria, Organize workshops to educate our Youths on Small Business Ownership, as well as engaging big Organizations and our Governments - all in hopes of addressing Youth Unemployment.

SPEAKING
What is considered to be the best motivational speeches is something that is a very personal choice. After all, what might motivate one person might not motivate another simply because it might not necessarily be what the two people need to hear. There are so many famous best motivational speeches that it's hard to sort through them all. Some of them happen in poems and stories while others might happen in toasts and sport functions. The speakers can be anyone from your next door neighbor to someone as well known and important as Steve Jobs.
Speaking is something that many people don't really understand. In truth, doing it professionally is an art form. You don't need to work every day at writing and creating speeches to be a professional, you just have to be in a position in which you have the opportunity to change something for someone and you can explain to the area or to those who can help that person why they should be doing it. Though this seems like it might be something very childish just due to that description, in truth speakers are not anything like that.
All that you really need to have, the ability to make a motivational speech is the ability to, the understanding of what you need to do, the accurate and correct information about your speech, and last, but not least, the passion to drive that speech home. Most people probably wouldn't think of poems as being something that would allow them to see motivational speeches. Then again, even more would probably doubt that football would allow the same thing. In truth, great motivational speeches aren't a thing of the past: many people still giving wonderful motivational speeches, it's just that people are not listening to them as much as they used to do.
Having a motivational speech explained in front of you might even make you feel that little bit of happy and motivated than it's done its job. That's why motivational speeches, like many other types, are actually something that varies from person to person as far as what's the best because it happens to be a very personal.

Let us Inspire the Youths
The Nigerian Youths are Smart, Bright, Strong, Intelligent and Strong willed, but we need to do more and inspire these Young ones.
The one common denominator with the Young ones regardless of their home lives, ages or other factors is their need to be reassured. How is this best achieved? How do we provide guidance and serve as inspiration for kids we only know on a peripheral level?
Sometimes, we can think back to our own turning points and pinpoint exactly when it was we decided to pursue something as our life's work. It could've been encouragement from a mother who insisted that natural aptitude for figuring out how and why things work would serve us well in our lives. The fact is, we never know when a kind word can make the difference in a child's life. And if it's really as simple as that and if we believe we have a responsibility to our young people, why would we not take every opportunity to check in with those young folks and lend those reassurances.
Sometimes I think my life would make a great TV movie. It even has the part where they say, "Stand by. We are experiencing temporary difficulties." ~Robert Brault,
We need to remember that the Youths are watching and looking at us daily as we live our lives, I urge us most especially Nigerians in diaspora with some form of western exposure to give back, to live a life of Inspiration, lead by examples, Encourage someone to be inspired into doing something great.

Your Next
It is about 2am Eastern Standard Time, relaxing on my love-seat and watching the
global news on CNN, a huge part of the news was about world economy. A lot of
nations are struggling economically which in turn has a negative impact on
businesses and citizens. In this struggling economy I feel it is very important
for individuals to have a solid immediate and future plans.
Your Next could mean a lot things to different people and I would like to involve my readers, friends and fans to discuss and comment about this.
Your Next could mean - Creating your next customer! Creating your next big Idea! Creating your next position for making more money! Creating your next dress! Creating your next jewelery! and so on.
My idea of Your Next is that - DO NOT let anybody or someone else create Your Next, create your own next by taking ownership and control of your life. Set goals and objectives for yourself, determine your next move and when to move on, equip yourself, add more value to yourself through consistent re-evaluation of your intellectual property which makes you buy-able.

World Shaker
A World Shaker never runs a regular schedule with everybody. When most folks go
to sleep at about 10pm at night, A World Mover is up thinking and working
towards the next big step. Appreciate Life and take it with utmost seriousness,
for Life is like a game that you don't want to lose. "Life is a game, Play to
win".
I learn a lot through listening before speaking and therefore, listening skills over time will bring forth words of wisdom when you speak.

Branding is Beyond Image
When you look in the mirror who do you see? Branding is definitely not Image,
Branding is you knowing yourself and your audience. Branding is about
authenticity - you need to know how people see you with your consistencies.
When you know how people see you, you will realize that you are here for some people and that it is not really about you but to help others and leave a positive impact and a great legacy.
A high worth Brand must be very Innovative, must possess intellectual property and values.
